Being straight with you
Adjustable means the band is open and can be eased wider or narrower. That makes it forgiving if you do not know a ring size — which is why it gets bought as a gift so often — but it also means it is not a fixed, closed band. If you want something that sits exactly one size and never moves, this is not that ring.
The gold finish is plating over sterling silver, not solid gold. Because this ring is adjusted by hand, be gentle: repeated flexing at the same point is the fastest way to wear any plating thin.
